A 12V electric brake away controller is a must have for your trailers if it is over 2 ton GVM (Gross Trailer Mass) to ensuring your safety; by activating the trailer brakes instantly if ever your trailer where to becomes unexpectedly detached while driving, lowering your chance from getting into a serious accident.
This unit includes a Break away control box, break away cable and battery.
Installation is straight forward and it’s best mounted in a visible location.
To install connect the following wiring to your trailer wiring:
The blue cable to the brake your service brakes to give power to your brakes once your breakaway controller is activated.
The black cable to a constant power source like your Auxiliary power or day lights (clearance and side marker lights) if auxiliary power is not available. This is to ensure that your charges and remains ready for use
The white cable to ground for proper functionality. This controller provides peace of mind by meeting mandatory safety requirements with expert ease.
